Robert Baur is the Regional Development Manager at Amalgamated Security Services Limited (ASSL) and its Caribbean subsidiaries and associated or related companies. His primary responsibility are the operations in the Caribbean countries other than Trinidad and Tobago. Robert has 11+ years of experience in security and risk management activities in Trinidad and Tobago as well as the wider Caribbean region. As a customer centric manager, his main focus is on understanding the unique needs and preferences of customers across diverse markets within the region in order to align the ASSL Group of Companies’ business strategies with the ever-evolving demands of our clientele. He is committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences by prioritizing customer satisfaction and building trust through transparent communication and reliable support. Robert doesn’t believe in just being a supplier but aims at cultivating long-lasting partnerships that drive mutual growth and success for both, the ASSL Group of Companies and our customers in the wider Caribbean region. Robert holds a Bachelor’s degree in German linguistics with a focus on journalism, marketing and PR from the Otto-Friedrich-University, Bamberg, Germany. Mr. Andrew Callender BSc - has extensive experience in the security industry both public and in the private sector. He is a former member of the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) and on his retirement went on to work with the Guardsman Group of Companies in Jamaica has one their senior security managers for over ten (10) years. In 2013 he was appointed general manager of Alternative Security Services (St Lucia) Limited and served in that capacity until 2017. In February 2017 he was transferred to Antigua as the General Manager of Amalgamated Security Services (Antigua) Limited a part of the ASSL Group of Companies. As the general manager of ASSL Antigua he was responsible for establishing the company, designing its policies and procedures and was also charged with acquiring new clients for the company. In November 2021 he was reappointed as the General Manager of Alternative Security Services (St Lucia) Limited. Mr Callender is the holder of a BSc Degree in Human Resource Management, an Associate Degree in Business Administration and a Diploma in Security Management. He is also a certified International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Certified Aviation Security (AVSEC) Instructor and a Ports Facility Security Officer (PFSO) Certified Instructor.
Joined the company at its inception, as a Security Officer, but soon rose to the rank of Security Supervisor responsible for our Sandals location, as a result of his aptitude and capabilities. Less than a year after his upgrade, he was placed as Armed Supervisor of our CIT Unit. <br></br> Mr Le Compte served at several locations in the capacity of Senior Supervisor, until his appointment to the post of Operations Coordinator responsible for all single locations, and subsequently given the sole responsibility for our hotel locations. In his current role, he is charged with the effective management of our hotel locations, and has since been promoted to Senior Operations Coordinator as a result of his years of experience and expertise. In addition to his management of our hotel locations, Mr LeCompte also has responsibility for our armed guards, fleet management, and CIT team, in addition to assisting in training. He is a senior, well-experienced, well-rounded manager, who adds value to the team and the company as a whole.
After having completed a Diploma in Business Studies from Sir Arthur Lewis Community College, St Lucia, Mr. Marvin Cherubin went on to accumulate experience in the accounting field with a number of local firms, including the post of Operations Manager of The Cell [a subsidiary of the Digicel telecommunications company in St Lucia]. Mr. Cherubin commenced his employment with Alternative Security Services (St Lucia) Limited as a Payroll Assistant and was soon promoted to the Post of Operations Coordinator and subsequently to his current position of Operations Manager.
